How To Install T-Molding Merbau Molding
The merbau wood molding acts exactly as a solid wood floors and need some space to expand and contract with time. Don't forget to leave enough space between the merbau hardwood floors and the other surface, giving the merbau t-molding a place where it can expand and contract. First thing you need to do is to lay the Merbau T-Molding in place to determine proper fit. To attach the Merbau T-Molding between a ceramic tile floor and hardwood floor, apply a 1/4 inch bead of wood adhesive to the top edge of the surface (can be any flooring type). Put the molding in place, making sure that you have a minimum of a 1/4 inch molding overlap on the wood flooring, including an expansion space between the Merbau T-Molding and the wood floor to handle expansion or contraction.
