This Prefinished Base-Shoe Maple Molding can be used to protect the wall and "picture-frame" the maple wood floor. This base shoe maple molding can also be used as a transition to vertical surfaces in tight spots where Wall Base Moulding will not fit. How To Install Base Shoe Maple Molding

This Maple Molding must be installed after the hardwood flooring installation is done. Don't forget to leave enough space between the maple molding and the maple hardwood floors. The maple wood molding acts exactly as a solid wood floors and need some space to expand and contract with time. This base-shoe maple molding needs to be fastened to the base wall or the wall itself and not to the maple wood floors. We recommend drilling the maple molding first, to avoid splitting of the hardwood molding.
