How To Install Stair Nosing Bamboo Carbonized Horizontal Moulding
This Bamboo Carbonized Horizontal Stair Nosing Moulding is available in tongue and groove configuration, for easy connection to the hardwood floors. When used on a stair step, the Bamboo Carbonized Horizontal Stair Nose moulding should cover and overlap the riser. When used on a step-up to another room, the Carbonized Horizontal Bamboo Stair Nose moulding becomes the starting "edge" of the floor. Because of the interlocking of the moulding with the floor, the Carbonized Horizontal Bamboo Stair Nose moulding should be installed first. Once the molding is in place, the interlocking floor can be installed out from this point. To install the Carbonized Horizontal Bamboo Stair Nose Moulding, apply one or two 1/4 inch beads of construction adhesive to the subfloor and seat the moulding in place If nailing, pre-drill the Carbonized Bamboo moulding to prevent splitting and nail to the subfioor. To assure a flat surface in any glue down installation, it is recommend that the moulding be taped to the floor while the glue is setting up.
